Industrial Product Lead

Main responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Franchise Program Leader, the Industrial Product Lead will oversee products pertaining to the AIR/CARE/RARE Franchise.

In response to the recent organizational evolution, this role drives alignment with Franchise program industrial strategic objectives and projects/technical activities impacting on the relevant products. 

The Product Lead entails managing and coordinating LCM implementation and continuous improvement of these products to ensure their market success and alignment with the overarching strategic goals of the company. 

The Product Lead stands as main representant of Product Industrial Strategy deployment and continuous improvement with Stakeholders external and internal to the GMD division.

  • Participating in the Product core teams acting as key representant of the GMD department and as leader of the Product Industrial Strategy; 
  • Deployment and implementation of Industrial Product Strategy (Late stage & Post Market): drives execution of program plans and critical decision making; ensure alignment with the Global Strategy to boost product success;
  • Identification of inputs to GMD Global Strategy: pinpoint and analyze essential inputs that influence the global strategic direction;
  • Identification and Management of Business Continuity issues/streams: address both external and internal inputs to maintain seamless business operations;
  • Escalation of critical Product Changes: highlight significant changes impacting Business Continuity and Product Strategy, ensuring timely escalation;
  • Geoexpansion impact assessment: evaluate the implications of geographical expansion on product deployment and strategy;
  • Projects activation identification: define business cases for new projects and seek approval from TMPT/IPPC or PRB;
  • Approval of new Streams: within the confines of approved budgets and FTEs, authorize new streams in line with departmental accountabilities;
  • Continuous project monitoring: maintain an ongoing review of projects, emphasizing their impact on product strategy;
  • Handle technical inputs and information, to anticipate and mitigate potential risks; 
  • Define a common and consolidated communication: ensure cohesive and consistent communication with the Core Team and TMPT.

This role demands strategic foresight, impeccable project management skills and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders. 

As the Product Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the product narrative and ensuring its alignment with the overarching business goals.

Candidate profile

  • Degree in an engineering or scientific discipline (Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology, Management Engineering);
  • At least 5-7 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry gained in Respiratory products and technologies/Sterile and Biotechnological products;
  • Experience requested on Product and Project Leadership and Management, within complex matrixed organizations with strong focus in late stage/commercial phase;
  • High level of learning agility, comfortable in working in a fast paced and dynamic environment;
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and manage different stakeholders; 
  • An open-minded and humble approach, with a goal-oriented mindset to understand and drive project success;
  • Ability to work on multiple projects while meeting agreed deadlines;
  • Problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to work in a global environment, demonstrating good networking abilities and adaptive thinking;
  • Good knowledge of English (written and spoken);
  • Willingness to travel if necessary.

Headquarters Parma, Italy. 

The position is Smart Working eligible, no relocation needed. 

The first 6 to 9 months a higher presence in person needs to be considered.
