Senior Key Account Manager
Main responsibilities
The role drives business growth by acquiring and supporting targeted customers, developing tailored service offerings and new opportunities through value-based pricing, while ensuring operational excellence through the effective management and optimization of processes aligned with business objectives, efficiency and compliance.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and execute the company’s market entry and sales strategy in the Italian energy market, positioning it as a trusted partner;
- Identify, pursue, and secure short-, mid- and long-term business opportunities, shaping and expanding the customer portfolio;
- Build, maintain and strengthen relationships with key clients, stakeholders and internal partners, acting as the primary point of contact;
- Translate customer needs into tailored energy solutions, ensuring competitive and value-driven offerings;
- Develop and implement commercial offerings, including contracts, pricing, credit terms and new products (Natural Gas, Green Gas, Power);
- Negotiate and finalize contracts in line with commercial governance, managing agreements, budgets, financials and regulatory requirements;
- Drive business development initiatives to expand market share and secure strategic accounts;
- Monitor market trends, customer needs, competition and regulatory developments to support strategic decision-making;
- Ensure accurate reporting and effective data management through internal systems;
- Ensure full compliance with internal policies (OGMS/ICS) and all relevant external labor, safety and operational regulations.
Candidate profile
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Minimum 9 years of experience in key account management, B2B sales or commercial roles within the energy sector or related industries, ideally with a focus on natural gas;
- Strong strategic and analytical capabilities, with the ability to translate complex market dynamics into clear and actionable decisions;
- Solid commercial acumen, including pricing, contract management and a deep understanding of market dynamics;
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and simplify complex topics;
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders;
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong sense of ownership, initiative and results orientation;
- High adaptability and resilience, with the ability to perform effectively in dynamic and evolving environments;
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, working effectively across teams and functions;
- Fluency in Italian and English. German is a strong advantage.
