Distribution Center GM

Main responsibilities

Based in the Turin area, the role will lead a strategic Distribution Center serving the Italian market, with full responsibility for operational performance, service, cost efficiency and people engagement. The position will drive customer-focused logistics solutions, continuous improvement, digital transformation and sustainability across the site.

Main Tasks

  • Lead a strategic Distribution Center serving the Italian market, driving operational performance across safety, quality, service, cost efficiency and productivity, while fostering a strong culture of continuous improvement through structured operational excellence methodologies.
  • Adopt an end-to-end supply chain mindset, collaborating with business leaders to define and execute delivery plans, representing Supply Chain within the Italian organization and building strong partnerships with key internal stakeholders.
  • Drive a customer-centric logistics approach, engaging directly with different customer segments and channel partners to develop tailored solutions, strengthen case management and continuously improve the customer experience.
  • Lead and develop the site organization, fostering an engaging, high-performance working environment and managing constructive relationships with local trade unions through effective communication and conflict resolution.
  • Drive the site’s digital transformation and sustainability agenda, engaging the workforce in new digital ways of working, reducing carbon emissions across operations and transport, and promoting circular economy practices.

Candidate profile

  • Proven leadership experience in complex logistics, distribution or manufacturing environments, with direct P&L responsibility and a strong understanding of the levers impacting cost, productivity, efficiency and service.
  • Strong track record in operational excellence, quality and continuous improvement, with solid knowledge of Lean methodologies, problem solving and relevant regulatory requirements across health & safety, environment, warehousing and people management.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, engage and develop high-performing teams, combining a hands-on approach with effective communication, stakeholder management and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong digital mindset and confidence in ERP and logistics technology environments, preferably including leading enterprise management platforms. Familiarity with technologies supporting data integration, automation, Business Intelligence, IIoT and Machine Learning is valued; knowledge of advanced Warehouse Management Systems is considered an advantage.
  • Proven experience in managing 3PL providers and freight forwarders, combined with the ability to operate effectively within large, complex and international organizations and build strong relationships across countries and business areas.

The position offers a gross annual salary starting from €100,000, with executive-level employment terms under the applicable Italian Industry CCNL.

The final compensation and contractual package will be determined based on objective criteria, including the candidate’s experience, skills and overall fit with the requirements and responsibilities of the role.
