Our client is a fast growing ManCo, based in Dublin and part of a leading asset management group. The firm is looking for a talented professional to fill the role of: 

Legal Officer

Main responsibilities

  • Providing legal support to the Company throughout the lifecycle of the Fund including supporting and advising in respect of the launch of new sub-funds and products;
  • Assessing and advising all departments, senior management and fund boards on the legal risks arising in the business and recommending appropriate courses of action and strategies to manage those risks;
  • Monitoring legal developments and other events which are likely to have legal implications for the Company’s business and assist in developing strategies for the Company;
  • Supporting projects relating to regulatory change and focused on delivering strategic objectives for the Company and advising on appropriate legal, regulatory and governance approaches and strategies;
  • Drafting, negotiating and amending commercial and financial services agreements that relate to the Company, the Company’s Fund ranges and the delegation/intercompany agreements between Group companies;
  • Reviewing and drafting as appropriate internal policies and procedures and amendments thereto;
  • Supporting the Company and its Fund ranges from a governance perspective and overseeing external company secretariat;
  • Advising and reporting at a board level and senior management level in respect of legal, regulatory and governance matters for the Company and where relevant its Fund boards;
  • Managing and instructing external counsel and managing any legal budget.

Candidate profile

  • Master’s degree in Law;
  • At least 5/6 years of experiences within asset management industry covering a Legal role;
  • Excellent communicator with ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders and external law firms;
  • Strong management and collaboration skills.  Ability to operate within an international environment with a diversity of cultures;
  • Ability to adapt with rapidly changing priorities and to manage competing tasks in a dynamic environment; 
  • Flexible, strong personality eager to build connection and trust both within the function and across stakeholders;
  • Forward-looking and thinks beyond the problem in front of them;
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and has the dexterity to adjust as needed;
  • Languages: proficient knowledge of English and Italian is essential.


The position offers a gross annual salary starting from €80.000/€100.000 plus bonus. The final compensation and contractual package will be determined based on objective criteria, including the candidate’s experience, skills and overall fit with the requirements and responsibilities of the role. The package is complemented by competitive benefits, in line with leading market standards.
