Portfolio Manager – Fixed Income Strategies

Main responsibilities

Reporting directly to the CIO, the Portfolio Manager will contribute to investment activities, through research, underwriting, modelling and preparing analysis to support and determine the feasibility of new investment strategies and opportunities. 

The PM will also play a key role in investment decision-making, performance monitoring and portfolio construction, while contributing to the integration of ESG within the investment process.

 

Main Responsibilities

  • Contributing to and leading portfolio construction to meet specific investment objectives, in line with defined risk appetite and mandate constraints;
  • Ensuring the day-to-day management of discretionary portfolios;
  • Generating investment ideas using a combination of macroeconomic analysis and bottom-up credit research operating across multiple funds;
  • Preparing ad hoc/recurring reports for internal and external use, including financial data and market/fund commentaries;
  • Monitoring portfolio positioning, performance, and risk exposures across multiple funds ensuring alignment with internal investment guidelines and regulatory requirements;
  • Integrating ESG factors into investment analysis and decision-making processes;
  • Supporting the preparation of materials for Investment Committees and Client presentations;
  • Evaluating new strategies, instruments, and market opportunities to support portfolio growth  in collaboration with others Portfolio Managers within the Investment Team
  • Engaging with internal stakeholders (risk, compliance, distribution) to ensure robust governance and alignment.

Candidate profile

  • 4 to 8 years of proven experience in managing fixed income investment strategies;
  • Master’s degree in Finance, Economics or equivalent (CFA certification is preferred);
  • Strong work ethic and self-motivation;
  • Accuracy and research skills;
  • Statistical and modelling skills;
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. Coding (Python, VBA, etc…) is a plus;
  • Analytical mind;
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure;
  • Team-working capabilities;
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal);
  • Ability to manage priorities; 
  • Knowledge of Environmental, Social & Corporate Governance (ESG) criteria within the Funds industry is a plus.
