International Indirect Procurement Lead
Main responsibilities
The position will operate within the Procurement Hub, working closely alongside another Procurement Lead to drive the effective management of indirect procurement categories across multiple countries.
He/she will be part of a dynamic organization focused on continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and strategic supplier relationships; will play a key role in optimizing procurement processes, developing category strategies, and ensuring alignment with the company’s business objectives and global standards.
Key responsibilities:
Driving the development and implementation of indirect procurement strategies (e.g., Marketing& Sales Services, Professional Services, Travel, Digital & IT etc.) across multiple countries to achieve cost savings, efficiency, and sustainability;
Collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure procurement strategies align with business needs and objectives;
Analyzing market trends, supplier performance, and risk factors to identify innovative sourcing opportunities;
Managing supplier relationships, negotiations, and contracts to secure the best terms and ensure compliance with company standards;
Ensuring procurement processes are optimized and aligned with global policies and procedures;
Working in synergy with the other Procurement Lead and cross-functional teams to share best practices, maximize opportunities, and address challenges;
Supporting the development of procurement policies and contributing to process standardization;
Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), cost savings, and budget adherence for indirect procurement operations;
Providing regular updates and reports on procurement performance to senior management.
Candidate profile
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related fields. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CIPS, ISM) is a plus;
Fluency in English (both written and spoken) is required; knowledge of other languages is a plus;
5-7 years of experience in Procurement, with a focus on indirect procurement categories, acquired in international industrial companies;
Proven track record of managing international procurement operations and leading cross-country sourcing initiatives;
Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and contract negotiation;
Familiarity with procurement tools, software, and systems (e.g., SAP Ariba or similar platforms);
Leadership & Human Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong supplier and stakeholder relationships;
Strategic mindset with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for process improvement;
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, matrixed and multi-cultural environment;

Rome
The position is highly flexible / smart working eligible;
Willingness to travel internationally is required (20% - 30% time);
Relocation allowance provided, if necessary.
